Refund policy

Fourteen days, any reason, in full. That is the rule for every payment made to ClassFund.Club, and the rest of this page is the detail: which payments it covers, what happens after the fourteen days, how a refund reaches you, and what happens to the class when one is made.

The fourteen days

If you pay for a plan and change your mind within fourteen days of the payment, tell us and we refund the whole of it. You do not have to give a reason, and it does not matter whether the class has used the plan in the meantime. This is the right of withdrawal a consumer has under EU law; we honour it for every first purchase and for every quarterly renewal, we honour it for a business customer too, and we do not ask anybody to waive it in exchange for the service starting at once.

To use it, write to hello@classfund.club from the address on the order, or ask from the billing page in the app, within the fourteen days. Nothing more formal is needed. We confirm the same working day and the refund is on its way within fourteen days of your message, usually much sooner.

Which payments this covers

PaymentWithin fourteen daysAfter fourteen days
The ten-month plan, paid onceRefunded in fullNot refunded. The plan runs to the end of the school year it was bought for; nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
The twelve-month plan, billed every three monthsThe payment just made is refunded in full — the first one, or any renewalThe quarter already paid is not refunded. Stop the plan from the billing page and it does not renew again; the class keeps the plan until the end of the paid quarter.
Seats added mid-termRefunded in fullNot refunded. The charge was already prorated to the days left in the period, so it only ever covered what was used.
Seats reduced mid-termNothing is charged, and nothing is refundedThe same. Lowering the number of seats is free and never produces a refund; if a class has genuinely over-bought, write to us and we will look at it.

When we refund anyway

Outside the fourteen days we still refund, in full or for the part affected, when the fault is ours:

  • You were charged twice for the same thing, or charged an amount that does not match the order you placed.
  • A renewal was taken after you had stopped the plan, or after we had told you the plan would end.
  • The service was unavailable for more than five consecutive days, or a feature the plan is sold on — the bank connection, the languages — could not be provided for most of a period.
  • We end the service, or end your class's agreement for a reason other than a breach of the terms, before the paid period is over.

Anything else — a class that dissolves, a chair who steps down, a school that changes its mind in March — is not a refund case under this policy, but it is a conversation we are happy to have. Write to us; we would rather lose a quarter's fee than have a parents' community feel it was trapped.

How a refund is paid

Payments are taken by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, London), our merchant of record, and refunds go back the same way: to the card or payment method the payment was made with, never to a different account, and never in cash. Paddle issues a credit note against its original invoice, so the VAT is corrected with it. Once we have approved a refund it normally reaches the card within five to ten working days, depending on the card issuer.

A refund is for what was paid: if the price you paid included VAT, the refund includes it; if a business was invoiced under the reverse charge, the net amount comes back.

What happens to the class

When a plan is refunded, the class moves to Free at once. Nothing is deleted: the roster, the transactions, the balances and the history stay exactly as they were. What the paid plan added stops — bank accounts beyond what Free allows stop being read until they are disconnected or the plan is bought again, and the class's language goes back to the one it chose.

A refund of added seats simply puts the seat count back to what it was. If the roster by then holds more active children than that, nobody is removed; the class just cannot add another child until it has a seat for them.
