Terms of service

These are the terms on which The Future Quest Kft. provides ClassFund.Club. They apply to everyone who uses it — the chair who sets a class up, the teachers and parents who join it — and, where a class buys a plan, to that purchase. They are written to be read, not skimmed; where they refer to the Privacy policy, the Data protection policy or the Refund policy, those documents are part of the agreement too.
Who is agreeing with whom
ClassFund.Club is provided by The Future Quest Kft., a limited liability company established under Hungarian law, registered seat Budapest, Hungary, company registration number 01-09-349062 at the Fővárosi Törvényszék Cégbírósága, EU VAT number HU27094455. In these terms, "we" means The Future Quest Kft..
"You" means the person using ClassFund.Club. Where a class buys a plan, the customer is the parents' community that runs the class, acting through its chair; by placing an order, the chair confirms they are entitled to act for that community. A parents' community that is not itself a business is a consumer, and nothing in these terms takes away a right a consumer has under the law of the country they live in.
By creating a class, joining one, or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
What the service is
ClassFund.Club is bookkeeping for the money a school class shares. It reads the class's bank statement — uploaded as a file, or through a read-only open banking connection the chair grants — works out which family each transfer came from, records what the class spends, splits each cost the way the class decided, and shows every parent their own child's balance.
It is not a payment service, a bank or a wallet. It never holds the class's money, never moves it and cannot initiate a payment. The bank connection is read-only by design, and the chair can withdraw it at any time from inside the app.
- The chair runs the class: the roster, the bank connection, the books, the plan.
- A teacher records what the class did and how a cost is split, and never sees a family's balance or payment. Of the bank, a teacher sees only the outgoing payments of an account the chair has linked to their card.
- A parent sees their own children, what they paid, what they were charged, and what the class spent together — and never another family's figures.
The figures ClassFund.Club shows are computed from what was imported and what was recorded. They are a working ledger for the class, not a statement from a bank and not an audited account. The chair remains responsible for the class's money and for checking the books against the bank.
Your account
You sign in with an account you already have — Microsoft or Google. We never see the password behind it, and keeping that account secure is between you and its provider. Anything done while signed in as you is treated as done by you.
A class holds other people's data: children's names, parents' contact details, what each family paid. Whoever enters it confirms they may. In practice that means the chair enters a family's details because the family gave them for this purpose, and a parent who adds a picture of a child does so as that child's guardian.
Plans, seats and prices
There are three plans. Free is the whole product with the statement importer and no bank connection, and it is not limited in the number of children. Basic adds one connected bank account. Premium adds up to five connected bank accounts, every language ClassFund.Club speaks, the monthly report sent to the class automatically, and the mobile app when it exists. What each plan includes on the day you buy it is what the pricing page says on that day.
A paid plan is bought in seats: paid places for children. The roster may hold that many active children at once. You choose the number when you order — at least as many as the roster has that day — and you can add seats mid-term, paying for the extra places for the days left in the period. Lowering the number of seats does not refund anything; see the Refund policy.
A plan runs for one of two terms. Ten months is the school year: one payment, up front, and nothing renews. Twelve months is billed every three months and renews by itself, quarter after quarter, until you stop it. The price is per seat per month, and it is shown to you before you order, in the currency of your price book row, with the VAT that applies to you set out separately.
The price you bought at stays your price for the whole term. If we change the list price, it applies to new orders and, for a renewing plan, only from the next period after we have told you — at least thirty days ahead, in the app and by email.
Ordering and paying
Placing an order charges nothing. It fixes the plan, the seats, the term, the price and the VAT, and shows you a Pay now button. Nothing changes for the class until the order is paid.
Payment is taken by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, London), our merchant of record. When you pay, the sale is made by Paddle: Paddle's name is on the receipt, Paddle works out and remits the VAT, and Paddle's own checkout terms apply to the payment alongside these. Your card details are entered on Paddle's checkout and never reach us. A business in another EU country that gives a valid VAT number is invoiced under the reverse charge; a number that cannot be verified is simply charged VAT.
A renewing plan is charged again at the start of each period to the payment method held by Paddle. If a renewal payment fails and is not put right, the plan ends at the end of the paid period and the class moves to Free. If the ten-month plan is not paid, the order lapses and nothing happens to the class.
Cancelling, and moving to Free
You can stop a renewing plan at any time from the billing page. It then runs to the end of the period already paid for and does not renew. You can also move a class to Free at any time; if it has more connected bank accounts than Free allows, you disconnect the extra ones first, so that a downgrade never silently drops a connection you chose.
Cancelling does not delete anything. The roster, the transactions and the balances stay exactly as they were; the class simply stops having what the paid plan added.
Withdrawal and refunds
A consumer has fourteen days from a purchase to withdraw from it without giving a reason, and we honour that for every first purchase and every renewal, even though the service starts at once. What is refunded after those fourteen days, and how a refund is paid, is set out in the Refund policy, which is part of these terms.
What you may not do
- Use ClassFund.Club for anything other than keeping the books of a class or a comparable small community.
- Enter data about a person you have no right to enter, or a child you are not entitled to represent.
- Try to reach another family's, another class's or another user's data, or to get around the access rules — including by guessing addresses.
- Connect a bank account that is not the class's, or that you are not authorised to give access to.
- Interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written agreement, or copy it.
If you find a security problem, tell us at hello@classfund.club and we will treat it seriously and thank you. If we find an account being used against these terms, we may suspend it while we ask what is going on, and we will say so.
The bank connection
A bank connection is made through Enable Banking, a licensed account information service provider in Finland, under a consent the chair gives directly to the bank. The consent is read-only, limited in time, and can be withdrawn from inside the app, after which nothing more is read. What the bank sends is what we show: we do not correct, filter or invent transactions, and we are not responsible for a bank that sends late, sends twice or sends wrongly.
Your data, and the class's
How we handle your own data — your account, your preferences, your invoicing details — is set out in the Privacy policy. The class's records — the children, the families, the transactions — belong to the parents' community, which decides about them; we hold them on its instructions under the Data protection policy, which is the processor agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR between the class and us.
Each class has its own audit trail: a record of everything that happens in it — sign-ins, invitations, bank syncs and statement imports, how each cost was recorded, split and changed, corrections, payment links opened, reports sent, changes to the plan, and recommendations — each with who did it and when. Only members with the chair role in that class can read it. It exists so that the class's money can be accounted for transparently, after the fact: it is an immutable record, which nobody using the service — the chair included — can alter or delete, and the database itself refuses to change. Entries are kept for eighteen months and then deleted automatically, or earlier if the class itself is deleted.
Availability and support
We run ClassFund.Club as a continuous service and take reasonable care to keep it available, backed up daily and secure. We do not promise a particular uptime. Sometimes it will be down — for maintenance, which we try to announce, or because something broke, which we try to fix quickly. A reading of the bank that is missed is caught up on the next one; nothing is lost because the service was unavailable for a while.
Support is by email at hello@classfund.club and through the help desk in the app. We answer as people, in working hours, in English and Hungarian, and as best we can in the other languages the site is published in.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for providing the service with reasonable skill and care, and for the things the law does not let us exclude: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, and the rights a consumer has under the law of their own country. We are not responsible for a loss that comes from data entered wrongly, from a bank statement that was wrong when it reached us, from a decision the class took on the basis of its books without checking them, or from something outside our reasonable control.
For a customer that is a business, our total liability under these terms in any twelve months is limited to the amount that customer paid us for the service in those twelve months, and we are not liable for lost profit or indirect loss. This limit does not apply to a consumer, and nothing here limits what the law says cannot be limited.
Ending the agreement
You can leave at any time: a parent by asking us to delete their account, a chair by deleting the class. Deleting a class deletes everything in it, immediately and for everyone, except the accounting record of what was ordered and invoiced, which we must keep for eight years. Before deleting, a chair can ask for the class's data in a machine-readable form.
We can end the agreement with a class if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, if a plan is not paid for, or if we stop providing the service — in the last case with at least sixty days' notice, and the chance to take the data out first. A class we close for non-payment moves to Free; it is not deleted.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service changes or the law does. A change that matters is announced in the app at least thirty days before it takes effect, and a customer who does not accept it may end the agreement before that date; for a paid plan already running, the terms in force when it was bought apply until the end of that term. The date at the top says when these terms were last revised.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Hungarian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim there. We would much rather sort a problem out directly: write to hello@classfund.club and a person will answer.
A consumer in Hungary may also turn to the conciliation body for their county — in Budapest, the Budapesti Békéltető Testület (1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99., bekeltet.bkik.hu) — or to the consumer protection authority at the county government office. A consumer elsewhere in the EU may use the alternative dispute resolution body their own country provides. Complaints about personal data go to the data protection authority, as the Privacy policy explains.
For a customer that is a business, the courts of Budapest have exclusive jurisdiction. These terms are published in English and Hungarian; if the two ever differ, the version in the language the order was placed in prevails.
